Join the energy club on a tour of the Wheelabrator Waste-to-Energy facility that utilizes municipal solid waste from US cities to deliver clean, renewable electric power to several homes and businesses in Boston area.
The tour will provide a first hand experience of the Waste-to-energy technology in operation. It will cover the engineering and economic advantages and challenges of the technology. Participants will be exposed to state of the art processes and equipment like the modern materials handling, refuse boiler design for trash combustion, electric power generation, emissions control and ash residue recycling and management systems.
