Overview

The MIT energy club is organizing a tour to the ISO-NE facility, a Regional Transmission Organization serving the New England area.

ISO-NE operates New England's bulk electricity power system, is responsible for electricity dispatch to consumers, coordinates the electricity marketplace and develops strategic processes to sustain adequate and seamless electricity supply to consumers.

In the tour, you will get to see the control room and the operations center facilities, and in the process learn about ISO-NE's bulk power grid operations, wholesale electricity markets administration, and the system planning process. Please visit the ISO-NE website for more information: http://www.iso-ne.com.
